Into The Heart of The Earth

A week long intensive course that blends practical survival skills with Energy based awareness and Shamanic/Spiritual practice
Designed to develop the potentials we carry as human and spiritual beings, this course will help open us to ways of using our awareness and perception that would seem extra-ordinary to most modern humans.
Allowing us to experience ourselves as part of the much greater whole that is the living and natural world, the body of the course is formed from the training of the Apache Scouts. Along with physical aspects of living with the Earth, we will be accessing the deeply altered states required to bring us into harmony with the world around us, tapping into what the Native American call the 'Spirit that moves through all Things'.
Looking at how these heightened levels of awareness, energy and peace can be integrated into our daily lives is a key part of the week.
A journey of initiation situated in a wildwood forest overlooking the South Downs.
With a background as a professional skydiver, Ben has trained extensively with the Tom Brown Tracker School in the States, receiving teachings from Apache Shaman and Scout, Stalking Wolf; with Inuit Shaman, Grey Wolf; and with the Maori.

Children’s Yoga classes.
Pure Moves
Children’s workshops will be running over the Frome Festival on 11th July at 3.45pm and 4.45pm and 14th July at 10am and 11am at Pure Moves, Frome.
Ongoing classes will be running on Tuesday afternoons at pure Moves starting 11th September. Price is £6.50.

New Kundalini Yoga classes In Frome.

Introductory classes (£5) are at 8pm on 12th and 19th July at No 7 Locks Hill, Frome.
Please come through the garden gate at the side of the house to the studio at the back of the garden. Ongoing classes (£8) on Thursday evenings will commence in September.
Please let me know if you are interested in coming as spaces are limited.

True Summer

I hope you're enjoying the lovely weather! Enclosed are details of our forthcoming July workshop, held in the beautiful market town of Abergavenny (home to Owen Sheers though, sadly ladies, not with us.)
This course will take us to the very border of England and Wales, situated at the confluence of a tributary stream, the Gavenny, and the River Usk.
The walk will start at the heart of the town, and then out into the rolling countryside, with stunning views of the Blorenge, Sugar Loaf, and the shivered slope of Skirrid Fawr.
Professional writer & lecturer Christina Thatcher will lead the walk, suitable for families, individual writers, walkers and/or arts enthusiasts — actually there are no limitations.
So long as you bring a pen, some paper, and an open mind.
The walk itself will probably last one hour, with a level of easy/moderate, followed by lunch/refreshments and an indoor workshop at one of the local pubs...
To prepare for the forthcoming changes to Half Moon, we will also host a very short reading of the writer's work, and a mini 'open mic' for those who would like to share.

Healing Fields

In this astrologically powerful year of 2012 the Healing Field Gathering may well be a crucial gathering and sharing space. The Healing Fields Gathering runs from Friday 20th - Monday 23rd July and is set in a beautiful Somerset meadow with a fine view of Glastonbury Tor.
This is the 11th Gathering and over the years the same team who produce the Healing Fields at Glastonbury Festival have evolved and created this magical "Healing Village",an inspiring and caring community with beautiful gardens & mystical sculptures.
At The Healing Fields Gathering there is a fine selection of Skilled Healers who work for donation from their own spaces and the other activities that are available are wide-ranging and suitable for all ages.
The workshops are held in pretty carpeted domes and include practices from Reiki to Sound Healing. The Music Dome features workshops in African Dance/Drumming, Singing, Inner Dance, Overtoning, Creative Play and the popular Yoga Space has many great teachers. There is also solace and inspiration within the Meditation Dome.
Children and the young at heart are kept busy in the Craft Dome with on-going workshops such as lantern making, drama, wacky science, weaving, clay-modelling, dream-catchers and even more.
Night Time at The Healing Fields is filled with singing, music & meeting people around the main Campfires. There is also a Forum Space to discuss and share on deep life issues and an Acoustic Stage for evening workshops in Dance & Song.
The Healing Field Gathering is an easy place to meet people in a non-pressurised environment and single people can join in the fun of the Cosmic Speed Dating Workshop also known as the Community Flirt In.
The Healing Field Gathering is especially suitable for families as the organisers seek to keep the public spaces free of drugs and alcohol.
There is no other place where people can discover themselves and improve their personal and spiritual development whilst being so gently supported by the caring community that is gathered together at The Healing Field.
